I got an email from BBA Program Director Scott Moore about course bidding and he said that we should check out his blog about it (so my reaction literally was, "a BLOG! I'm clicking through").
This actually answered most of my questions. Only thing I want to know now is whether we'll be able to see other student's bids or the hihgest current bid or something. Anyhoo, I was one of the BBAs who had a very late registration appointment relative to the rest of the class. I couldnt get into the BIT consulting class, the entreprenuerial management class, nor could I get into any of the Acc 315 classes, whcih sucks since I'm an accoutning major (Well, I could have done the whole waitlist shabang). So I support trying this system and seeing how well it works.
I'm guessing a lot of initial complaints will come from students who have earned the most credits, considering part of the advantage of having all of those credits is diminished. However, they do still register earlier for classes not won in the bidding process.
